Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) Work Based Learning (WBL) between Pusat Sains Matematik UMP and Abyres Enterprise Technologies Sdn Bhd

Centre for Mathematical Sciences and Abyres Enterprise Technologies Sdn Bhd have successfully signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) on 3 March 2021. The virtual signing ceremony have been attended by the Vice-Chancellor of UMP, Professor Ir. Dr. Wan Azhar Wan Yusoff, Senior Dean, College of Computer and Applied Science, Professor Ts. Dr. Ruzaini Abdullah Arshah, and the Dean of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohd Zuki Salleh. Meanwhile, Abyres was represented by the Chief Operating Officer, Ts. Mr. Basheer Ali Majed and Chief Production Engineer, Mr. Mohd Izhar Firdaus Ismail.
Also present at the ceremony was the Deputy Dean of Academic & Student Affairs, Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Sham Mohamad and Head of Programme (Data Analytic), Dr. Siti Zanariah Satari and lecturers of Data Analytic Program, UMP.
Professor Ir. Dr. Wan Azhar Wan Yusoff in his speech, expressed his gratitude for the commitment shown by Abyres who gave confidence to UMP in this cooperative relationship.
He said, "This smart partnership is not only limited to ensuring the exchange of knowledge and expertise but also meets the needs of the country through the involvement of knowledge-based universities-industry across strategic research, education, services, and promotion."
Through this MoA, students of the 2u2i program, Bachelor of Applied Science (Honors) Data Analytic, Centre for Mathematical Sciences, UMP now have the opportunity to undergo industrial training using work-based-learning (WBL) course in Abyres.
