Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS) has successfully organised a Monthly Mathematical Colloquium (MMC) 1/2020 on Wednesday, 26 February 2020. The event took place at the Mathematics Support Centre, Gambang from 9.15am to 11am. To kick off the first MMC of the year 2020, CMS had invited two speakers. One of them is our very own colleague, Dr Najihah binti Mohamed and the other is an external speaker from Suleyman Demirel University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, Mr Yershat Sapazhanov.
Dr Najihah, who has recently completed her PhD study from the Universiti Sains Malaysia, presented her PhD work research entitled Curve Reconstruction by Metaheuristics Algorithm on Cubic Rational Bezier Function. While Mr Yershat, who came to Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia under the Student Mobility Programme, delivered an exciting presentation about his university and country, as well as sharing some research knowledge in his research field, Mathematics Education.
The next MMC will be held in March. We are looking forward to gather the researchers, staffs and students of CMS once again to share their knowledge and experience in any research field and expertise.
