PSM in collaboration with PERSAMA has successfully conducted SKSM28 via Microsoft Teams

Simposium Kebangsaan Sains dan Matematik (SKSM) is an annual PERSAMA event for Mathematics researchers to share scholarly papers in various fields of Mathematics. UMP has been selected as the 28th SKSM organizer for 2020. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, this event had to be postponed to 2021. So for the first time to take on the covid pandemic 19 challenge, PSM UMP has held this symposium online using the Microsoft Teams platform on 28 - 29 July 2021. SKSM28 has managed to get the participation of 165 presenters of papers and 61 participants. Participants submitted video recordings of their respective paper presentations and were displayed in parallel presentation sessions via a YouTube link.
SKSM 28 event on the first day was graced with the first keynote speech by Yang Berusaha Prof. Emeritus Dr. Shaharir Mohamad Zain at 10:30 until 11:30 AM. The very meaningful title of the partnership, namely “Daya Pengaryaan Sains Matematik Sarat Budaya Sepanjang Masa” was covered with full enthusiasm and knowledge by Yang Berusaha Prof. The presentation was posted live in the Microsoft Teams platform and on PSM UMP’s Facebook.
The lively afternoon continued with the 2nd keynote session from the blessed Prof. Dato’ Dr. Noraini Idris, President, National STEM Association. This session is shown live at 2-3 PM with the title of her presentation which is "Science, Mathematics, Technology: An Engine of Growth and Innovation". Prof. Dato’ Dr. Noraini has shared her experience in collaborating with the industry to make STEM programs in Malaysia a success.

The second day of the SKSM 28 continued with a parallel presentation session as scheduled. The festivities continued on the second day, 29 July 2021 with a presentation from keynote speaker 3, Dr. Ts. Aswami Fadilah Ariffin, Senior Vice President, Cyber Security Responsive Services Division, CyberSecurity Malaysia. The title of his speech is “Development of CyberI3 - Intelligence, Incidence and Investigation Based Big Data System”.
The recording of the joint awards ceremony and the closing ceremony ended SKSM 28 this year. The closing ceremony ended with the announcement of the list of winners for the PERSAMA award selected from the PERSAMA committee and the winners for SKSM28 selected from among the papers and videos submitted.
