PSM UMPSA successfully completed the Books for a Better World Community Service Program (CSR) 2024

The UMPSA Mathematical Science Center successfully completed the Books for a Better World Community Service Program (CSR). The major goal of this CSR Program is to assist the library by diversifying the reading selections while also encouraging the practice of reading. The Mathematical Sciences Centre's contributions resulted in the successful collection of about 200 publications in many categories such as management, test reference (UPSR, SPM, STPM, UPKK), adult fiction, children's fiction, motivation, sports, Islamic religion, and others.

This program was carried out in two phases. For phase one, the initiative was successfully implemented on June 21, 2023, with the delivery of books to the Ibnu Abbas Islamic Primary School library. The school is overjoyed with the donation since it will replace the book collection that was damaged by the flood, and it is a worthy gesture that is consistent with the NILAM Programme (Nilai Ilmu Amalan Membaca) in developing a reading culture among pupils.

Phase 2 of this program was held on January 29, 2024, with the donation of reading materials to the UMPSA library in order to expand the resources and collection of reading materials for UMPSA students. The Library Department is grateful for the contributions. Hopefully, this initiative will continue in the future and be extensively utilized by library patrons, particularly UMPSA students.

This CSR program is one of the projects supporting the government's #MalaysiaMembaca goal, which aims to create Malaysia a Reading Nation by 2030. Hopefully, this initiative will help everyone.
