Centre for Mathematical Science (CMS) UMP has organized a Data Analytics Industrial Talk entitled Storytelling Through Data Visualization. The virtual talk this time has invited Dato' Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir bin Mahidin, Chief Statistician, Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM).
CMS was very pleased when this event was also attended by Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato' Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Universiti Malaysia Pahang and Yang Berusaha Prof Dr. Mohd Zuki Salleh, Dean of Center for Mathematical Sciences UMP.
In this session, Dato' Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir bin Mahidin shared infographics and data visualizations practised by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), the dashboard of the DOSM as well as efforts towards big data. In addition, the statistical framework and research methods used are also emphasized.
In the end, the audience, especially the UMP Data Analytics students did not miss the opportunity to ask questions to the experts as well as share opinions on this valuable session.
