AST students cohort 20232024 joined “Chinese New Year Cultural Program” organised by Confucious Institute (CI) UMPSA

Initiated by the Confucious Institute (CI) of Malaysia under the direction of Madam Yong Ying Mei, Director of the CI, and her staff, the students from the Foundation in Science and Technology Program, UMPSA, are participating in a Chinese New Year Cultural Program on January 31, 2024. Chinese calligraphy and painting were two of the cultural activities that the program offered. The Chinese New Year song and cuisine have also been introduced to the attendees. Following a 12-week Mandarin study under subject UHC1013 completion, the students are currently getting ready for their final exam, which is set for February 15, 2024. With the goal of exposing students to the true culture of China, the program essentially signals the conclusion of the lecture series.

Additionally present at the program were Profesor Li Lijun, the director of China Computing Institute; Profesor Mohd Zuki Salleh, dean of the Center for Mathematical Sciences; Profesor Madya Dr. Mohd Sham Mohamad, deputy dean of academic affairs; Zulkhibri Ismail, deputy dean of research and postgraduate studies; Profesor Madya Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohd Kasim, head of AST program; academic advisor and PSM administration team.
