Math Boost Workshop Semester I, Session 2022/2023

The Mathematics Support Centre received feedback from students that, due to time constraints, many students completely lost grasp of two very important topics, integration and differentiation. With less than 7 days until the final exam, the Mathematics Support Centre UMP hosted a Math Boost workshop to cover the fundamentals of integration and differentiation. The workshop was held on Monday, 30 January 2023, via MS Teams with over a hundred students participated.
The workshop began by explaining the basics of integration by Dr. Nadirah Mohd Nasir. The fundamental methods of integration, integration using trigonometric functions, and integration using exponential and ln functions are the subjects discussed.
Dr. Izzati Jaini led the second session, which focused on abilities in differentiation. Topics included fundamental differentiation techniques, differentiation using trigonometric functions, differentiation using exponential and ln functions, and differentiation using exponential functions. Everyone was invited to ask questions as they came up throughout the interactive sessions.
