Another month, another colloquium. Applied & Industrial Mathematics and Statistics (AIMs) Research Cluster, Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS) has successfully organized the third colloquium for this year on Wednesday, 15th July 2020. The presenter is Mr. Mirza Rizwan, a PhD student, who supervised by Dr.Noryanti Muhammad.
Mr. Mirza has presented his study entitled 'Development of Cardiovascular Risk Prediction Models through Machine Learning Approach'. His study has considered thirteen non-laboratory features including age, paternal history of cardiovascular disease, smoking history, physical inactivity and food consumption. The data are based on Pakistani population and taken from Punjab Institute of Cardiology, which is the largest cardiac center in Pakistan. Mr. Mirza also has compared his study with two other studies, the PURE study and the INTERHEART study.
