As an effort to cultivate a culture of mathematical excellence and nurture young talent, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) at the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), has initiated a comprehensive training program to prepare school students for Mathematical Olympiads competition. This program has been named as ‘Profesor Turun Padang: Workshop on Techniques for Answering Mathematical Olympiad Questions’ on December 8, 2023.

A total of six students from the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours program at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, participated in the Rapid Bus X UTM Data Hackathon 2023 competition. The competition starts from 21 August 2023 until 24 September 2023. The students received advice and guidance from Dr. Nor Azuana Ramli during the competition. Two teams were formed, namely 3 Posse and Paradox. 

A total of 6 lecturers from the PSM UMPSA have conducted Faculty Supervisor visits to 13 industries across Peninsular Malaysia for Academic Session of Semester I 2023/2024. The purpose of this visit is to supervise and observe the students of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours programme from Course Work Mode of 14 students.
